I have finally found a clear articulation of the work I continue to do as an operator. Process management is not about defining a process for the knowns but designing it for the unknowns. It needs to have the right set of thinking about people, capabilities and flexibility. Execution is easy if everything is known. But, when there are unknows like “How will it work at 10x scale?” In essence, it requires a different type of management.
