It starts with recognition and acceptance that we will do it for the purpose of business and not for social cause.
As I mentioned in my [[If not suppy chain, which other problem in agriculture value chain would you consider solving for and why?|previous post]], it starts with recognising multiple women collectives that are formed by financial institues, social entreprises and government agencies and integrating them into agriculture. It is simple but defintely harder thing to do but there will be an overlap among groups and many of them work in farms.

SHGs, Gram panchayats and Asha workers are present in every region and village.
There are multiple reasons to not go this route. All of them will sound reasonable. Social norms and lack of agency don't allow women to make decisions on household farms. We are here to solve agriculture problems not social issues. We will not differentiate in who uses our solution but why cater to one segment and loose out many potential customers.
I will agree and confirm all of these are valid reasons and you should be cognisant of them. I will also agree that this generic level of abstraction about male and female farmers is not accurate, there will be exceptions.
Yet, all such reasons are wrong and it will hurt in long term if we don't focus on women farmers.
We keep harping that 70% of population of India is dependant on agriculture. Who do you think forms the majority of it? No guesses needed, its women.
We will not find a more opportunity starved demographic of farmers looking to make [[Making agriculture economical|agriculture economical]].
If you are looking for buzzy words of the startup ecosystem. The Go-to-market (GTM) of agriculture is word of mouth and women are best agents for kick-starting this motion. The retention levels will be insane if we addding value.
We don't have to be friends with them. They want to do business and they don't trust anyone will do good for them. So, incentive alignment is key and the value we bring to the table becomes the negotiating leverage.

In order to realise a sliver of this scope. It starts with hiring female workforce. Yes, female workforce even among the [[On Hiring|front lines]]. This aspect is in our control and I see every one look past it for quick implemenation.
I hope this answers your question.
Yours truly,
Vivek
