If my year long experience as a Product Manager at Autonomous Procurement ([Transporeon](https://transporeon.com)) was summarised into a single sentiment, it will be about my pursuit of distilling knowlege from information.
The concepts of “management” and “knowledge” from Edward Demming when introduced via Cedric Cin’s posts passed the believability rubric for me.
> Management is a form of prediction backed by knowledge.
> Management without knowledge is just superstition.
Translate the above two statements to product management. My realisation of seeking knowledge and explaining it to fellow builders becomes the highest order work.
The approach is similar to the idea shared in the [talk of Steve Jobs “The object of our life”](https://stevejobsarchive.com/exhibits/objects-of-our-life).
Steve envisions a distributed society where the ability to understand things and distilling information are possesable by everyone.
My investment in being data driven by focusing on inputs in order to be outcome oriented and factoring theory of constraints was to make product development decentralised.
Why be a bottelneck ? When one can unleash the collective creativity of the team for product building.
My job is to enable the team by setting up processes and outlining the context for the team to shine.
